"very boring, should have hired a ghostwriter" according to Amazon Customer. Boring and dreary book, reads like a lecture, there is no drama, no struggle, no panachestill havent even finished it.. A Power Player. Schmidtty Fascinating ego trip.. Sold!!! I did not know much about Michael Bloomberg before he became the mayor of NYC and for this reason, I bought and read this book. I came away being impressed, amazed, and intrigued by this multi-layered character who is now inhabiting City Hall. Is the book a tad self-serving and guilty of just a bit of hyperbole? Yes, but, he's the first to admit that he's an egomaniac (at least he's honest about it!!) and I found that entirely refreshing. It's a great tale of the American dream told with unabashed enthusiasm and dry wit. I, for one, think we have exactly the right guy in City Hall!!
. Along the way, he's made a substantial fortune and a significant name for himself. In Bloomberg by Bloomberg, he reveals (with help from colleague Matthew Winkler) how it all came to be. His specialized media--including manipulable online data feeds, a global newswire, and extensive magazine and broadcast outlets--have turned the business of business news upside down. Members of the world's financial communities are increasingly securing the information that drives them from Michael Bloomberg
