In Goddess of Hope, one is placed right smack in the middle of what is happening and cannot help but become acquainted with the people and the struggles they face everyday. As I read, I found myself wishing that the women folk would take a stand against the atrocities being perpetuated among them.As a practicing Christian, I do not subscribe to the 'gods' of their tradition, but in Josephine Chiugo, the peop.
