"Don't waste your time or money" according to J. Barnett. I bought this book as well as the 2nd edition at the same time. NEVER AGAIN. It is 115 pages with large type and double spacing with almost no real information, it gives suggestions like "find the number and offer the administrator $1000 dollars for the password" as a way to hack an account. The grammar is bad but much better than in the 2nd edition. It relies heavily on the videos which are on the associated websit. "Dont do it" according to JH Cockburn. I got this book yesterday, read it and finished it the same night.If you are serious about security and not a n00b, then don't waste your money. The grammar is bad and quite irritating at times. I also thought there would be an accompanying CD but nope. The videos you have to get of the web. OK for a noob. Poor customer service. I had bought the 2nd edition and received a discount on the 3rd.I had hoped that since my 2nd edition came with a defective DVD, they could include a replacement DVD when they sent this 3rd edition. No such luck. No customer service at all.No more for me.I have since picked up a couple EC Council CEH study guides and will just use that for CEH study.
