Can't recommend it Although the author presented a developmentally appropriate and ideal kindergarten classroom , as a kindergarten teacher in California this book offered little to help me. In California we teacher the Common Core standards. These standards were not addressed at all. I am totally into teaching reading using the children's own writing and doing away with basal readers altogether. This was a well thought out and written guidebook that helped me make it all work!.
