Unbalanced story line. I didn't like it. Kindle Customer Why did I rate this so low? Simple. The author didn't write a balanced novella. It started out well. It had some tensionwho was the bride running from and why.The groom should be ashamed of himself because he wanted a properties.his mother was Mestise - a mixed blood woman. The story needed more development of the plot. It jumped from scene to scene. The e. Heartwarming Story The bride has been abused. She is shy and fearful. The groom wants a more assertive person. When danger threatens they both have to work together. Their future together seems uncertain.. Historically incorrect I did not like this timid woman line. This chick could not make it in the Wild West . Who travels to Montana without a coat or shawl?Also slavery was abolished in the US in 1865 ratified 13th amendment Dec of 1865. So why would anyone be claiming human property 5 yrs. later and sheriff don't know the law!I get this is fiction but at least make it a little
