Amazon Customer said a great story, good read. While I think the author has been heavily influenced by Taylor Anderson, that is by no means a bad thing! Taylor is a SME on WW2 Navy, and destroyers and ordinance in particular, so his work is more fleshed out, but THIS is a great story from a new author, and I'm all fo. I have been dissapointed with the Kindle SciFi books now hitting the market. But this book isn't bad. The premise is a solid one, the misspelling and grammer is better then normal. The characters are well written, the only problem is that the protagonist and the femine lead felll in love within a few days. My problem was the armaments. Interesting Story tocaff The SBD Dauntless dive bomber went from being a fighter bomber to a dive bomber in a small number of pages. The SBD-5 version came later in the war. The Navy and Marines say "AYE AYE", never the Army. There are just to many instances where facts were bandied about with little or no research done and a disclaimer at the beginning of the book doesn't make it alright. Some might think that I'm nitpicking, but for me it ruins the story.
