Five Stars This book fully met my expectations. It was a gift for my bilingual nephew who adored it!. Cute Book - Traditional Characters Such a cute book! The characters are traditional but as an intermediate Chinese speaker and reader who only learned simplified, I can still read it just fine. I like that it has English and Chinese characters displayed on the same page spread. I wish the pinyin wasn't only on the last page (it's like a pinyin translation for the whole book) and that it had pinyin for the title of the book, but otherwise, it's a great addition to our Chinese-English children's library!. booknosh said Disappointing, especially after reading so many positive reviews. Our family just didn't like this book!Pros:1. Bilingual in Chinese and English2. Simple storyCons:1. There's a big difference in level of difficulty between the English (easier) and the Chinese on some pages.2. The pictures just don't hold my toddlers' interests (either of them, which is odd because it's the type of book I would have thought they would like).I wish there were more bilingual options out there, especially ones that were age-appropriate in both languages and with more engaging pictures. This gets two stars because it helps to f. . Simple storyCons:1.
