"This utterly charming story about Mole and his horrible case of stage fright will dazzle the young reader" according to Deb. No doubt about it, Mole was cool, he was hot, and he had a "rock-and-roll soul" that just wouldn't quit. As soon as it was rise and shine time he would jump on his bed with his blue electric guitar to jam a little before school. He sported a leather jacket and shades `round the clock, day in and day out. Naturally Mole thought of himself as another Mick Badger and so did the three little chicks at school. "Oooo, Mole!" Oooo was. Great story with a message M A HK I purchased this book to read as part of Rock Star Day at my granddaughter's pre-school, and the 4 year olds loved it! The story teaches a lesson about overcoming fear when the the little rock n roll mole faces his stage fright to perform at a school talent show. There is also a lesson about friendship and encouragement which is perfect for young children. The illustrations are adorable and humorous. I'll be using this book aga. Good message, fun story This book has one important message.Try.That's it. Don't be afraid to fail. Push through and make an attempt. If you want to do something, don't let yourself be scared out of it. That is a great message for kids.As for the story, it's cute. A mole wants to be a rock star. The illustrations are fun. The story is entertaining. My 5 year old was hooked on it from the beginning. It's a winner.

The night of the big show, Pig is ready for his sizzling dance number, but wait-his iPod's broken! Can Mole step up and save his friend's rep, or will the bright lights and big crowds make him shake in his shades? This tale of loyalty and self-esteem crackles with rockin' comedy for every generation-perfect for every kid, and their parents and grandparents. Mole has a rock 'n' roll soul. He wears a leather jacket (even in summer) and shades (even at night), and he can strut just like his idol, Mick Badger. He's a rock star, see-just as long as no one's watching. But then Mole's friend Pig plans a talent show and, to everyone's shock, Mole refuses to play

“Crimi’s lively, read-aloud-friendly text has a contemporary, lighthearted flair while Munsinger’s typically expressive animal characters will delight children.” — Booklist“When a friend’s in need, sometimes it does come down to 'Just do it,' as one little mole learns. It may not be, as Mole says at the end, 'pure platinum,' but it's not too far off." — Kirkus“Readers will finish the book ready to put their hands in the air—and then give the entire cast a big hug.” — Publishers Weekly“Children will identify with Mole’s anxiety and cheer for his rockin
